Research
The Tofino Clayoquot Heritage Museum has a collection of artifacts and archives material relating to local history and more specifically fishing, cannery, logging, whaling, municipal activities, town developments, Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations heritage, and more:
- nearly 200 documents and an extensive amount of other textual resource documents;
- our photograph collection consists mainly of digital photographs and approximately 100 printed photographs;
- nearly 200 artifacts that help tell Clayoquot Sound stories.
The museum does not have a research room, though one-time research visits at the museum can be accommodated on Wednesdays.
For remote researchers a museum staff member can conduct research with the following fee schedule:
